MOBILE SOURCES

K2EC personnel have supported the Gasoline and Diesel Inspection and Maintenance (I/M) programs for more than 13 years. We have been providing technical support for mobile modeling, hardware and network configuration, as well as software and data support. Recent work has been on using onboard diagnostics to ensure emissions compliance.

We can provide consultative and technical support for development and implementation of programs to control emissions from fossil-fueled mobile sources such as gasoline-fueled highway vehicles, diesel-fueled highway vehicles, and diesel-fueled non-road equipment.

In addition, K2EC personnel are trained and have extensive experience in USEPA’s Motor Vehicle Emission Simulator (MOVES) model as well as PPSUITE and MOBILE6. We can perform emissions estimates and benefit calculations using MOVES and other emissions models.
